For HIV caregivers and social service professionals who need to learn ways they can address emotional and spiritual barriers to HIV testing and treatment while adhering to governmental requirements relating to the separation of church and state.

 

  Six Week Course

·         HIV Ministry Practicum

Specifically for seminary students who are planning to enter church ministry. Teaches students basic information on trauma, faith, and HIV/AIDS. Focus is on giving practical experience that will help students understand how to address the spiritual and emotional barriers to talking about HIV.

 

·         Caring Lecture Series

For professional caregivers who need to learn how to address spiritual distress as a way to help patients/clients access care. Also teaches professionals how to include screening for domestic violence with spiritual assessments.
